Life at the moment is busy in way that involves racing from one thing to the next without a chance to settle and look at what just happened, or space to stop and just breathe.
This makes me feel much better.
I have just got back from a fantastic week surfing in Famara with Surf School Lanzarote and Surf South West. Having had a tremendous time in the beautiful sunshine and gorgeously clear sea, I am now sulking at the English November weather.
However, I have also learned a very valuable lesson... Just before we went away, I caught a horrible cold and felt really poorly, which coincided with having to pack my case. After a couple of days of sun and surf I started to feel a lot better, at which point I looked in my case and realised that it had been packed by a madwoman. You would have thought that items such as sun cream, bikinis, rash vest and warm weather clothes would have made it in there, not the random assortment that met my eyes... ball gown, roller skates, stilts, grand piano. Oh alright then, that is a slight exaggeration, but not by much.
Still, despite the poorliness and the random packing, we had an amazing time. Now I'm off to shiver under a blanket and watch Surf's Up to cheer myself up.
